Been awhile

Things have changed quiet a bit.. Im in florida, on the island where every day seems to sneak by with the heat index rising. I wake up late, maybe hit up the beach or just relax, then go to work. Im glad to be here and relaxing and letting my mind float through these days, but Im looking forward to this fall when I can be back in Chicago and continue making progress in not only my art but also my relationships and community.
I miss it, but desperatly need some money and a tan.

Goodbye Chicago, for now

Last few hours in the city, sitting alone in my room. White walls, clean floors, empty closets, and empty space. Im headed to Atlanta for the week and then heading down to Fla for the summer, again, to wait tables, get some sun, and continue to grow as an artist and person.
I will miss this city, and my little friend Amanda, I love her so much. And cannot wait until we move in this fall together. Im really looking forward to my life in this city, but Im also loving every moment in the present and thanking God for keeping me safe,happy, and healthy.

This city and my community here has made a huge impact on my life. I have grown and changed, continue to be tranformed into a beautiful person.

Goodbye Chicago, you will be on my mind and in my heart all summer

Last day of Freshmen Year

Ill never be a freshmen again, whoa.
Its the last day and I have a critique in the afternoon and thats about it. This past week has been very strange and Im kinda ready for it to be over as sad as that is.
Im going to miss Chicago so much this summer. The city, the people, the places, the speed, the trains/buses, my roomates, school, making art, producing culture, and actively changing the world.
Luckily I will be back in August, moving into a little home with Amanda, which I am so thrilled about.

Its been a great run.

Last few days

Its 4am. And Im in my last week of being here in Chicago, its been pretty emotional and its not even half way through the week

I just hope that things go smoothly and I can walk away knowing I have a few things the come back to.
Friendship, a home, love, and dreams.
